The main objectives of the Training were to create awareness among the participants regarding Anti Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing and enhance their understanding and to motivate them to do their duties complying laws and regulations for effective control of Anti Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. Mr. Shabbir Ahmed has joined ONE Bank PLC as its Additional Managing Director with effect from October 03, 2024. Prior to joining OBPLC, he was the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC.

He began his banking career as a Probationary Officer at IFIC Bank in the year 1989. He served in various responsible positions at BASIC Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, American Express Bank, National Housing Finance & Investment Ltd and The City Bank. Earlier, he served ONE Bank as Additional Deputy Managing Director and Head of Corporate Asset Marketing (North).

He has extensive practical experience in banking operations especially Foreign Trade, Risk Management, Investment and Marketing activities etc. He attended a good number of training programs and workshops at home and abroad. He has obtained his Hons. & Master degrees in Economics from the University of Dhaka.

ONE Bank PLC distributed cooked food among about 16,500 flood affected people at 69 shelters for flood victims in severely affected Feni, Lakshmipur and Noakhali. Bank’s Relief Coordination Committee along with the officers and staff of local branches of the Bank distributed food at shelters at remote areas of Dagon Bhuiyan, Feni, Chandragonj, Lakshmipur, Chowmuhuni, Amishapara, Senbag and Noakhali on September 02, 2024.

ONE Bank PLC donated Tk. 2 crore to the Chief Advisor Relief Fund for the flood affected people of the country on September 03, 2024. Bank’s Managing Director Mr. Md. ONE Bank PLC and Software Shop Limited have signed an MOU to integrate the Shohoz online ticketing platform into the OK Wallet App. Under this Agreement, OK Wallet customers can purchase bus tickets using the Shohoz online ticketing platform. ONE Bank PLC arranged a fire drill program in its Corporate Headquarters in collaboration with the Fire Service & Civil Defense Authority on 04 July 2024. ONE Bank has always been following compliance issues. All employees have been trained in all types of fire fighting techniques in the fire drill to comply with Bangladesh Bank’s guidelines and ISO 27001:2013 certification. After this training, Bank employees will be able to easily tackle fire incidents in office and homes as well. ONE Bank recently arranged a film show “Chironjib Mujib”. Board’s Chairman Mr. A.S.M. “Chironjib Mujib” is a portrayal of an unfinished autobiography of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman covering from 1949 to 1952 specially depicting his role during the Language Movement.

He particularly praised the film as it has shed light on some lesser-known facts of Bangabandhu’s life. This movie acquaints people of the country with rare life story of the Father of the Nation.

ONE Bank Limited arranged different programs in observance of the National Mourning Day 2023 on the 48^th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. ONE Bank Limited has signed a Participation Agreement with Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank on 17^th January, 2023 for getting refinance of Tk. 5,000 Crore from refinance scheme namely ‘Pre-Shipment Credit Sector’. ONE Bank Limited and Bangladesh Bank signed an Agreement on January 8, 2023 at Bangladesh Bank Head Office for refinancing to the tune of Tk. 5,000 crore to ensure food security. Mr. Abu Zafore Md. ONE Bank Limited recently arranged the award giving ceremony of “Spend More & Win BIG” campaign during FIFA World Cup 2022. ONE Bank Limited recently signed an MoU with CASHe Alliance Limited for introducing digital lending. Under the MoU, ONE Bank will be able to offer a digital loan facility leveraging embedded lending technology of CASHe and OK Wallet platform. ONE Bank has recently arranged a syndicated IPFF II Facility of USD 17.78 million for Technaf Solartech Energy Limited, a concern of Expo Group.

Investment Promotion and Financing Facility II (IPFF II) is a Project of Government of Bangladesh, with financial support of the World Bank for creating sustainable platform for low cost long-term financing in infrastructure and strengthening skills and abilities of the private sector to bridge the substantial infrastructure gap in Bangladesh where Bangladesh Bank (BB) acts as the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).

Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) and ONE Bank Limited (OBL) have jointly participated in the subject finance in USD for 13 years through a syndication led by OBL.

Technaf Solartech has been operating a 20 MW national grid-tied solar power plant located on the shores of the Naf River in Teknaf under a Power Purchase Agreement with the Bangladesh Power Development Board for 20 years. Over this period, TSEL is expected to achieve carbon emission savings of approximately 400,000 tons. Average annual yield is 38,000 MWh and the power supply will cover up to 80% of the present electricity demand of the entire Teknaf region.

Recently ONE Bank Limited signed an Agreement with GD Assist Limited. Mr. Md. Mr. Md. Monzur Mofiz has taken over the Charge of ONE Bank Limited as Managing Director for a tenure of 3 (three) years with effect from January 16, 2022. He was the Managing Director (Current Charge) of the Bank prior to that.

Before his joining at ONE Bank Limited, he was the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited.

His long 28 years of work stint include the role of an Engineer in the Ministry of Education & Sonali Bank Limited. Later he served as a core Banker at AB Bank Limited, the City Bank Limited and Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited. He participated several training programs and workshops at home and abroad.

He completed his B. Sc in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and obtained his MBA Degree from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.

ONE Bank Limited recently inked agreement with Mutual Trust Bank Limited. Under the agreement, both parties will work together towards removing cash friction and building digital eco system by providing interoperability service between OK Wallet and Mutual Trust Bank account. OK Wallet customers will enjoy add money facility from VISA, MasterCard and UnionPay cards through Mutual Trust Bank Payment Gateway. Customers can also avail cash withdrawal service from MTB ATM. Mr. Md Monzur Mofiz, Managing Director (Current Charge) of ONE Bank Limited and Mr. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. ONE Bank Limited launched VISA-branded EMV-enabled Chip Credit Card with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology in the country. With the new contactless credit card, cardholders can simply tap their credit card at designated contactless payment terminals to complete their transactions both home and abroad.

Shahidullah Khan, Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank formally inaugurated the Contactless EMV VISA Credit Card through a cake cutting ceremony on December 28, 2021 at OBL Corporate Headquarters. The 8^th Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of ONE Bank Limited was held virtually on digital platform on December 23, 2021. Mr. A.S.M. Shahidullah Khan, Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank chaired the EGM. The Shareholders of the Bank as well as the Members of the Board of Directors joined the AGM by login giving their proper identity. The Shareholders approved increase of the Authorized Capital of the Bank from Tk. 1000Crore (Taka One Thousand Crore) to Tk. 1850 Crore (Taka One Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Crore) and advised to accordingly make necessary amendments in the Memorandum and the Articles of Association of the Company. Bangladesh Bank has already given their consent for increasing the Authorized Capital of the Bank from Tk. 1000Crore (Taka One Thousand Crore) to Tk. 1850 Crore (Taka One Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Crore). A total of 2,150 underprivileged families were given the humanitarian aid. On the first day, 650 households of Rajshahi city area received the support. The same will be distributed on the following three days in Paba (500 families), in Puthiya (500 families) and in Godagari Upazila (500 families). Mr. A.S.M. Shahidullah Khan is a son of eminent Late Justice and Ex-Speaker Abdul Jabbar Khan. He was a brilliant student and at all levels of his academic life, he secured 1st division/class. He has graduated from the University of Dhaka with a brilliant academic track record. He stood 1st in the combined merit list in SSC examination under the Dhaka Board and obtained 1st class in Physics (Hons) from Dhaka University. He was a valiant freedom fighter. He actively participated in the liberation war of Bangladesh under sector-2. Mr. Shahidullah Khan is the Managing Director of Media New Age Ltd and the publisher of the Daily New Age. He is a Director of Holiday Publication Limited. He is also the Chairman of Charuta Homes Ltd. and North Pole Cold Storage Ltd. Mr. Khan has been involved in extra-curricular, socio-cultural and voluntary activities since his student life. He was adjudged among other things as the All Pakistan best Scout in 1965, All Pakistan Debate Champion in 1967. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation (an organization for Disabled Children). He is the Founder President of Club Notredamians.

Mr. Zahur Ullah, Director of ONE Bank Limited has been elected as the Vice Chairman as well as re-elected as the Chairman of the Executive Committee. He is a prominent business person in the country. He graduated in Finance from University of Dhaka. He is involved in the buying, manufacturing, and exporting of readymade garments and allied products. Admiral AMM Mohammad Aurangzeb Chowdhury (Retd), NBP, OSP, BCGM, PCGM, BCGMS, ndc, psc, Former Chief of Naval Staff & DG Coast Guard becomes an Independent Director of ONE Bank Limited in its 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on June 24, 2021. On the same day, he was elected Chairman of the Audit & the Risk Management Committees in the Bank’s 329th Board Meeting. Mr. Chowdhury has a brilliant academic track record to his credit. He has obtained MDS, MBA, MPhil, PhD degrees as well as has undergone a good number of trainings at home & abroad. ONE Bank Limited has recently signed an Agreement with Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company Limited (BGDCL). Under the Agreement, ONE Bank will facilitate the collection of BGDCL Gas Bill from BGDCL Subscribers through the Bank’s online Banking system. The Agreement was signed by Additional Managing Director of ONE Bank Limited Mr. Md. Monzur Mofiz and Company Secretary of BGDCL Mr. Md. Khorshed Alam on behalf of their respective organizations at BGDCL’s Head Office, Chapapur, Cumilla. Mr. Narayan Chandra Paul, General Manager (Finance & Administration), Engr. Md. ONE Bank Limited (OBL) signed a participating agreement with Bangladesh Bank for getting refinance from Technology Development Fund (TDF). The Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank organised a signing ceremony of the participation agreement on April 01,2021. In that ceremony, Khondkar Morshed Millat, General Manager, Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank and M. Fakhrul Alam, Managing Director of ONE Bank Ltd signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under this agreement, the PFIs will be provided with refinance facility from Bangladesh Bank against disbursement of term loan to its client to procure machinery/technology for modernization /up gradation to most preferred sectors and special development sectors under Export Policy 2018-2021.

The Board of Directors of ONE Bank Limited has elected Mr. A.S.M. Shahidullah Khan as its Chairman for one-year term from October 15, 2020.

Mr. A.S.M. Shahidullah Khan is a son of eminent Late Justice and Ex-Speaker Abdul Jabbar Khan. He was a brilliant student and at all levels of his academic life, he secured 1^st division/class. He has graduated from the University of Dhaka with a brilliant academic track record. He actively participated in the liberation war of Bangladesh under sector-2.

Mr. Khan has been involved in extra-curricular, socio-cultural and voluntary activities since his student life. Mr. John Sarkar has been promoted as Deputy Managing Director of ONE Bank Limited. Prior to this, he was Additional Deputy Managing Director of the Bank. He has been the Company Secretary and Head of Human Resources. Mr. John Sarkar joined ONE Bank on June 01, 1999. ONE Bank Limited has recently signed an agreement with GD Assist, a subsidiary of Green Delta Insurance, for launching an International Co-branded Prepaid Medical Card aiming at the health tourism market of Bangladesh. ONE Bank Limited and Piickme Limited signed an agreement at the Corporate Headquarter of ONE Bank Ltd. on May 14, 2019. Under the agreement, OK Wallet customers will be able to make ride sharing payment and enjoy cash back and attractive prizes.

Mr. Gazi Yar Mohammed, Head of MFS & Agent Banking of ONE Bank Limited and Mr. Meskat Hossain Rakib, Director of Piickme Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective Organizations.

The high officials of both the organizations were also present in the ceremony.

ONE Bank Limited and Dmoney signed an agreement at the Corporate Headquarters of ONE Bank Ltd. on May 13, 2019. Under the agreement, both parties will work together towards removing cash friction and building digital echo system.

ONE Bank Limited started its operation of 1st Banking Booth along with ATM Booth at Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology Campus. Mr. M. Fakhrul Alam, Managing Director of ONE Bank Limited and Pro-Vice Chancellor & Treasurer Mr. Kazi Shariful Alam of Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology jointly inaugurated the Banking Booth & ATM booths on 09 April, 2019. Through this Banking Booth Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology teachers, officials, students and local peoples will receive all kinds of banking facilities. ONE Bank’s Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Zahur Ullah handed over a cheque of Tk. 1.0 Crore on April 03, 2019 to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a donation to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the families of those who got killed by devastating fire at Churihatta of Chawkbazar, Dhaka.

ONE Bank Limited signed an Agreement with Chattogram City Corporation on March 21, 2019 regarding the services of online fee collection of Chattogram City Corporation through any branches of ONE Bank Limited. Mr. Md. Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Additional Deputy Managing Director of ONE Bank Limited and Mr. Shamsuddoha, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chattogram City Corporation signed the Agreement on behalf of their respective Organizations. Under this Agreement, residents of Chattogram City Corporation will be able to pay Holding Tax, Trade License and other fees in any Branch of ONE Bank Limited. Honorable Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, Mr. A J M Nasir Uddin along with the high officials of both the Organizations were also present in the Ceremony.
